Once you have passed your driving test, enhance your abilities and experience by taking the Pass Plus course. It will boost your confidence in dealing with large town driving, night driving and use of Motorways. It should also greatly reduce your car insurance premiums.

If you passed your driving test many years ago, then you will appreciate how things have changed in the last 20 years. Cars are more powerful, other drivers are driving much faster. Due to the raising of standards, it is unlikely that you would pass the current driving test, or are as aware of other road users as you used to be.

Is your eyesight up to standard? How good are your reactions? If you have been unable to drive for some time, for whatever reason, or you suffered a bad accident and your confidence has been shaken, consider a refresher course to bring you up to standard.

You will have to pass your theory test before you can book your practical test. As most of the information is both practical and common sense, it should not be too difficult for you to pass. However, help is available should you require it.

The hazard perception test is part of your theory test. You will have to pass both parts at the same time. Although it is possible to take and pass the test before you have even sat in a car, it is strongly recommended that you complete the hazard driving part of your training before you sit the theory test.
